Feta is made exclusively from fresh, pasteurized sheep’s milk or an alternative mixture of goat and sheep milk, which reaches the maximum quantity of 30% goat milk.
It has high content of calcium with slightly acidic taste. The European Union recognized “Feta” as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) which means that it must comefrom specific regions of Greece, from Greek animals.
It must be prepared only by the Greek way in order to achieve high nutritional value and quality.
